Introduction
The Jobs and Skills Australia Act 2022 (JSA Act) requires the Minister for Skills and Training to commence a review into the operation of the JSA Act (the Review). The independent review is being led by Dr Michele Bruniges AM (Reviewer). Further background information on the review can be found on the DEWR webpage.
The Review is considering the ongoing functions, governance and funding arrangements of Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA), including the effectiveness of its independence as a secondary statutory body and ensuring the JSA Act enables JSA to deliver on its outlined functions.
Consultation
The release of the consultation paper commences the engagement with stakeholders. Throughout the Review, the Reviewer will consult widely to ensure that diverse stakeholder perspectives are heard and inform the recommendations to Government.
A consultation paper has been prepared with the support of the Review Team in the department. The purpose of this paper is to invite the public to share information to understand the impact and effectiveness of JSA, as well as stakeholder experiences of engaging with JSA. The consultation paper includes questions designed to guide your submission and can be found here:
