The Review Panel is conducting a joint review of the operation of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Act 2022 and the amendments made by Part 16A of Schedule 1 of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Act 2023 (the Secure Jobs, Better Pay Review).

The Review Panel is calling for submissions and evidence from all interested stakeholders. Submissions close on 29 November 2024, however, the Review Panel encourages submissions to be provided as soon as possible.
The Review Panel is interested in your views about:
whether the operation of the amendments is appropriate and effective
any unintended consequences of the amendments
whether further amendments to the Fair Work Act 2009, or any other legislation are necessary to improve the operation of the amendments to rectify any unintended consequences that are identified.
When making your submission, please consider the following:
submissions about the operation of the amendments should be supported by appropriate data or other evidence
include proposed recommendations to improve the appropriateness and effectiveness of the reforms or any unintended consequences
if collecting your own data, provide the underlying methodology or instrument used to collect the data (e.g., a copy of surveys)
consider including case studies of real-life examples rather than hypotheticals
if using economic indicators or data, explain why you are using them and how they demonstrate the operations or effectiveness of the reforms.
The terms of reference require that all submissions and evidence received must be published and be publicly accessible. Submitters should be aware that, unless otherwise specified, all submissions will be published and made publicly available. Please ensure that any submission does not include personal information.
