Overview
We are designing a new voluntary service that supports parents who care for young children. The new service will be for parents who receive a Parenting Payment, to help them to plan for their future education and employment goals.

We will continue to gather stakeholder feedback during the caretaker period to inform our future advice to government following the election. The department will not respond to political content received via submissions or surveys.

Public submissions closed on 15 September 2023.
Many respondents chose to make their submissions ‘public’ or ‘public and anonymous’. This means we can publish them on our consultation hub.
For submissions where the respondent asked to remain private, we won’t publish their submission or any information about who made the submission. We’ll draw anonymised insights from these and use these insights to inform the new program’s design.
